Fluoresco Plays Role in University of Phoenix Stadium
Fluoresco has always had game.
In time for the 2006 professional football season, the company completed the signs for the University of Phoenix Stadium — home of the Arizona Cardinals. The Glendale, AZ. project entailed the design, engineering, fabrication, installation and project management of more than 400 signs and 40-plus sign types.
The signs include primary identification signs, exterior directional signs, interior wayfinding signs, felt pennants and digital printed graphics. The scope ranged from small — plaques identifying rooms inside the stadium — to the landmark stadium identifier, the 68-foot-high-by-88-foot-wide Cardinals bird-head logo on one side of the building.
In addition, the team delivered four sets of 6-foot-high illuminated “University of Phoenix” letters for the stadium sides as well as 32-foot-high gate identification numerals. Inside, Fluoresco also installed two audience thermometers on each side of the main scoreboard. Each is 90 feet tall, incorporating 115 red LED light bars that can rise or lower based on fan-noise volume.
