Fremont East
Fluoresco recently added landmark neon to the "City of Lights".
Helping to convert its historic Fremont East district into a Las Vegas, NV., entertainment focal point, the Fluoresco team added spanning gateways on the East and West ends of downtown Fremont Street as well as four streetscapes: an 18-½-foot-tall martini glass; a vintage “Viva Vegas” sign; a showgirl; and a rotating ruby slipper.
In addition, Fluoresco created and installed six district identity banners attached to existing light poles; 11 custom street name signs; and 18 cast-bronze crosswalk medallions, honoring people and events in Las Vegas and Fremont Street history.
Work on the $5.5 million downtown renovation began in early 2007 and was completed in August 2007. “The Fremont East Project has been an important step toward Fluoresco’s efforts to attract large-scale creative projects,” says Ladd Kleiman, Fluoresco’s president.
